Global Control of Bifurcating Power Systems

چکیده
A multilevel nonlinear control scheme with capability of operating over wide ranges is proposed. The rst control level connnes the system operation to some reference segments in its state space. On each reference segment , the bifurcation points are used for establishing the bounds of the state space of the system with diierent control requirements and their further subdivision. To meet the considered control objectives on each sub-segment, various linear or nonlinear regional controllers are developed. These are then systematically blended to establish the variations of the control law on each reference segment. The approach is demonstrated for control of a bifurcating power system model as its loading level is varied.
